Located in the south of the island, Cala Jondal is a wide bay famous for being one of the few beaches in Ibiza made of còdols, Catalan for pebbles, and its lively restaurants. Boulders make difficult to lie down comfortably sometimes, so Cala Jondal has been enabled with gateways entering the water in order to avoid the area of rocks and fit comfortably into the sea.
Anyway, stones sometimes hamper the entry into the sea, but once inside funds shoals and turquoise crystal waters of make the bath a communion with nature experience. Cala Jondal is a prime location for diving. Taking your diving glasses is a great idea in order to comfortably enjoy some great underwater views.
If you're a good swimmer you'll reach another small beach, Es Xarco, where you'll find the restaurant of the same name.

Getting to Cala Jondal
You will find the signposted detour on the Ibiza-San José (PM-803) road halfway.
Go towards the airport of Ibiza, south of the island. Just before arriving, you will find a roundabout with a detour towards Can Tomàs, follow it and you will go in the direction of the signs of Cala Jondal. Following a well-paved and curvy road, right next to the turning for Sa Caleta, is also the turning to Cala Jondal.
Following a path that becomes narrower you will reach Cala Jondal. There is free parking.
