Cala Carbó is a small cove, protected by hills and surrounded by pine trees, located 8 kilometers from Sant Josep. It is a quiet area where you can relax, as there is a limited number of people.
A combination of sand and pebbles that gradually descends till touch the clear water. A very charming place in the south of the island, inside the Nature Reserve of Cala d'Hort.
Swim to the exit of the cove to watch the sunset could be one of the highlights of your trip.
Despite its small size it is never as crowded as to be overwhelming. Even in the peak tourist months.
Services
Sunbeds, umbrellas, restaurants
It has several fish and paella restaurants of great quality: Balneario, Can Vicent, Chiringuito Cala Carbo and La Sardina Loca. There is also a clothing store.
How to get to Cala Carbo
No bus lines to the beach, but access by car is easy and well marked.
10 minutes drive from San José, five minutes from Cala Vadella
Accessible only by car following the signposts from San Antonio or San José, direction Cala Tarida and Cala Vadella. There is a small parking a few meters from the beach, but it's not particularly easy to find a place.
Turn left at the sign at the road San Jose - Cala Vadella (behind the intersection to Cala d'Hort, just before reaching Cala Vadella) and a narrow road will take you to a sandy cove surrounded by hills.
Relax and enjoy the quiet voice of the sea and the breeze in this beautiful cove.
